This is a classic Pat Crawford designed folder. The Leopard and the Leopard Cub feature fully machined 6061 T6 Aluminum handles, ATS-34 blades, and smooth dependable blade operation Benchmade is known for. These classic folders embrace the finest design features that Mr. Crawford has utilized and made popular over the years as they continue to remain one of my favorites for everyday carry and use.
The skeletonized handle hole pattern provides a secure comfortable grip, light weight carry and a very clean esthetically pleasing timeless look. The hard anodized finish enhances and protects for many years of service. The slender drop point blade shape provides all of the cutting ability of a much wider blade, but in a very compact package.
Benchmade has chosen to use premium ATS-34 stainless steel, usually found only in custom knives! It has been properly heat treated in a vacuum to ensure non-contamination, double tempered at high temperature, then sub zero quenched ensuring that all of the excellent physical characteristics that this material possesses have been brought forth to provide the real performance benefits available only with this superior material!
This is a beautiful piece and hard to find since it's out of production.
